We'll be shipping out digital rewards and physical add-ons from next Monday, November 14th.

To that end, we've locked your Backerkit orders with a final notice. This will give you enough time to make any last minute changes to your order. This includes a last chance to add any add-ons, as well as updating your shipping address for your rewards. After 48 hours, all orders will automatically be locked, so jump in with any changes quickly!

Until next time,

Awards season and credit name update
3 months ago – Mon, Sep 05, 2022 at 11:26:43 AM

Before we get started, a big shout-out to Suburban Consumption writer/designer Banana Chan, and artist & layout designer Ruby Lavin, who both took home a number of 2022 ENnie awards! Ruby won awards for her excellent art and art direction on Wanderhome at Possum Creek Games, and Banana won for the fantastic Jiangshi: Blood in the Banquet Hall, Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, and Questlings: RPG.  Congratulations to Banana, Ruby, and all the other winners!

  • I've now locked down the Suburban Consumption Backerkit. You can still update your shipping address until we've got confirmation of the shipping date for the books. If you need to make other changes, email us at, and Becky will help you out.
  • If you haven't yet completed your Backerkit survey, please do so now, so we can make sure you're included in our shipping lists!
  • As there are still a number aliases on our list for the Suburban Consumption credits, I've extended the deadline for updating your name, and emailed you confirming the name we've currently got listed for you. If you want to change this, please email us at before Friday, September 9th.
  • Once we've got the credits confirmed, Ruby will be able to finalise the layout and we can get the book to the printer.

Until next time,

Gobbling up your backer details

Hey all,

Ruby has now finished the layout of the book, and all that remains is to add in a thank you to each of you, our illustrious backers, without whose support we wouldn't be able to make Suburban Consumption as sumptuous as we'd like.

Please check that the name on your Backerkit account is the name you'd like to be credited in the book as. If it's not, please reach out to us at before Tuesday, August 9th and let us know how you'd like to be credited!

Additionally, we will be locking down Backerkit and charging cards on Wednesday 3rd August, so if you haven't completed your survey yet, please do so now. :)

Until next time,

~ Cat

Hey all,

We've made significant progress since the last update.

Ruby has been belting through the layout, and should be finished in the next few weeks - here are some screenshots to give you a taste of the direction she's going in:

The poison vials have arrived in our US warehouse, so in terms of physical rewards, we're just waiting for the enamel pins to land and we'll have everything.

Additionally, we've finished work on the Backerkit, and submitted it to the Backerkit team for review. They say it can take up to two business days, so expect to get an email with all the details of your pledge levels, as well as upgrades and add-ons, this week!

Until next time

More food for thought

Hey all,

There's a lot going on behind the scenes at the moment. The final text of Suburban Consumption is now developed and copyedited, and the amazing Ruby Lavin has started working on the layout of the interior. We'll share some sample spreads from her work next month.

The haunted house enamel pins have been completed, and shipping out to our US warehouse now.

The cutlery sets have arrived, and they are VERY shiny!

So shiny!

I've started the import into Backerkit, and working on getting it set up and ready to go. We're hoping to get that launched before the end of May, so keep an eye out for the notification in your email!

Until next time,
